Summer Holidays, 2005 Page #6 of 6 --- 'Elvis Weekend' At Orillia--- (This Page Originally Posted Feb. 25/06) ........ ........ The final destination for our summer holidays was Orillia to see the Impersonators show at the Legion. Happily, we also met up with some of our buddies - including the TLC crew, who also came up to see the shows.  ........ ....... Pat - you don't look so happy . . .  ........ ....... 'BEST FRIENDS', looking dapper in the twilight.  ........ ....... And 'ALPADEN' doing the same.  ........ ....... First thing Saturday morning and Anchor Girl is enjoying her morning coffee. Mr. Porker is enjoying his morning brew.  ........ ....... The pier at Orillia. Another clear, comfortable day. I mention that because, as we all remember, it had been a SUPER HOT & mostly humid summer up to that point. A day like this was perfect.  ........ ....... A perfect day to catch some rays. . .  ........ ....... This is Arnie's cat - Barney - just after he went for a walk off the dock & into the water. And he wasn't even riding a bike!  ........ ....... I see that 'HOLD THE DREAM' (a.k.a. Pull My Finger) has arrived. Something about it being too windy to come up the night before. . . .  ........ ....... I got a picture of Steve taking a picture of . . .  ........ ....... Me, taking a picture of Steve . . .  ........ ....... What a great day, eh Diane?  ........ ....... Brauweiller guides me on the finer points of boat handling. Either that, or I was supposed to shake his hand - or pull his finger??  ...... ....... The Vice Admiral models the 2005 lineup, including this lovely man skirt. It also doubles as a wash cloth - with 1001 uses.  ........ ....... What a day to just kick back on the dock. We had to save our strength for the Elvis thing over at the legion that night.  ........ ....... Don't think that these two had any plans to do much else . . .  ........ ....... I was fortunate to have a great view, looking this way . . .  ........ ....... And this way, too.  ........ ....... Ok everybody - it's show time!  ........ ....... The Legion was packed. Standing room only.  ........ ....... Happy, happy. Why don't you leave us a message on the Logbook, H.M.??  ........ ....... Oh, Dave was soooooooo excited to actually meet (an) Elvis in person! He wouldn't get another chance to do that until February!!!  ........ ....... Me thinks that the fact of meeting the Big 'E' got the Big 'D' all worked up . . . You go, Diane!  ........ ....... Still standing & enjoying the show. I bet the Garlic Pillow crew are sorry they missed it this year . . .  ........ ....... What the heck are these two knuckle heads up too??  ........ ....... It's Garth Brooks! The year before, your CommaBOAR almost got turfed out of here after deciding to join Garth by dancing on the tables, too :-)  ........ ....... These two couldn't take their eyes off the wannabe Garth. I have to admit he did have a really nice hat . . .  ........ ....... And this guy just couldn't keep his eyes off each other :-)  ........ ....... I mentioned that this was the impersonators show? Well, here's Steve impersonating a gentleman. HA!  ........ ....... Now that Garth has left the building, these three can cool down a bit.  ........ ....... It's the Happy Travelers!  ........ ....... You tell me - is Brauweiller pointing at Steve or the guy taking this photo?  ........ ....... Diane appears ready for sleepy sleepy time.  ........ ....... Leaving the Legion, Billie Sue & Anchor Girl just couldn't pass up the opportunity to have their pictures taken next to Elvis's Cadillac. It was that or pass out . . .  ........ ....... One last look back at the Port & our holidays were all done for another year :-(  ........... .... ........ That's it! Now, that wasn't so bad after all, eh?
