Thanksgiving Weekend, 2003
(October 10 - 13, 2003)
~ Part One ~

The last 'on the water' weekend of the season turned out to be
one of the nicest!
Very warm & sunny days, and reasonable nights gave us a great
opportunity to enjoy our final hours on the lake for the year.

.....

A sure sign of autumn - a bright red tree across from Rotten Row.
.....

Doc Of The Bay heading out for a Friday evening cruise & barbeque.
Sure looks like summertime, eh?
.....

Skipper Bruce, Chunky & Flan Jan kicking back at the Nunnery.
.....

Anchor Girl, after our barbeque dinner (Johnsonville Brats - mmmmmm).
.....

Captain Graham reflecting on the end of the season, no doubt.
Like myself, he was probably wondering how it slipped away so fast . . .
.....

This was the lovely view we were enjoying, just as the sun was setting.
.....

The Skipper toasts another beautiful evening on the water.
.....

Parking for four . . . .
.....

"I'll be right up to stand in the way of the sunset picture you want to take."
.....

"Here, how's this? In the way enough for you?"
(Just fooling - I asked Graham to stand there for this picture)
.....

Now you see him, now you don't.
Is this a lovely shot, or what . . .
.....

Our departure from My Bride & Doc Of THe Bay that evening.
.....

Freebird was traveling SO FAST on the way back, that the shock waves
prevented me from taking a clear photo!
Check out the wake & steam! WOW!
.....

Later that evening, the Anchor Girl & Debbie wasted some time attempting to retrieve a bowl that Graham tossed in the drink.
.....

Seems everyone had to offer their advice on how to get the $2.00 thing out.
.....

As you can see, Graham figured he should stand precariously close to the edge to help & see if he could loose another pair of glasses in the effort.
.....

Finally Dominic comes up with a solution. Threaten beating if they don't find it soon.
(Ultimately, it was not retrieved. Anyone coming across it next year - let us know :-)
.....

Saturday evening around the fire.
.....

Diane, Frank (The 'real' Frank) & new boater Dave shooting the breeze.
.....

Larry & Ursula pondering the last comment about Maxum boats.

.....

"If only I had used another call sign when hailing 'Holiday Mansion,
Holiday Mansion, Holiday Mansion' "
.....

"Ohhhh! I don't know if I'm going to like this drink!!"
.....

"Hmmm, that's not bad at all . . . . "
.....

"Hey, look over there. Graham is going to be attacked by that raccoon poking
his head out of the garbage bin."
.....

"What raccoon? In there?"
.....

Graham lifts up the lid so I can get a picture of it.
.....

Here's the little buggers. Turns out that there were THREE of them in there.
.....

Of course, Anchor Girl has to rush over to let them out.
.....

Bruce (the guy who promised summery executions for any he catches) comes to their
rescue (after we all backed away).
.....

Ya, just move the garbage cans out of the way for them.
.....

Come on, get a move on. There's plenty more garbage in the
other two garbage bins. . . . .
